Ancient History

Historicity speaks volumes about the need to understanding human affairs better.  This is one thing that cannot be said to be a lost art!  Thousands of years pass without significant improvement in human relations.  Then something happens.     

Mathematics

As long ago, and recently, as the Greek philosophy our civilization is, at least in part, built upon, break-throughs begin to take place.  One of the Biggest is the discovery of the Cartesian Plane.  A reference system made up of four (4) quadrants.    

Modern Times

Dichotomies no longer tell us what we need to know.  The world becomes a “space-time” which is calculated in four (4) dimensions; which is larger than our vision of the world without the mathematics involved in viewing the new reality.

Advancement

Science begins to shine following this development in algebra.  Calculus and other mathematical disciplines follow and a truly new way of seeing he world is open to us for the first time in recorded history.  The scientific method is advancement.
